Harvey Keitel has signed on to play Gene Hunt in the new American version of Life on Mars. Much better than when I thought Imperioli had signed on for the role (he’s playing Ray).

I watched the rejected pilot with the previous cast, and my biggest problem with it was Jason O’Mara as Sam Tyler. His physical presence opposite Colm Meaney threw the dynamic between them way out of balance, and it just wasn’t as fun to watch.
