Jesse Gardner from Plasticmind has published a pair of simple-to-follow guides for using Fluid and the iMT plugin to create a very useful desktop interface for posting updates to a Movable Type install.

I tend to use custom fields quite a lot here on Dumbland so for my more detailed entries (reviews, project information) this isn’t much use but for posting simple updates like this one it’s pretty damned excellent.

The rebuild of the site continues, as I bash Movable Type around to see what I can get it to do. I’m able to keep a lot more of the content in the database rather than stored in static templates, which is a plus. I’m now testing some other means of tying all of the content together and creating an altogether more cohesive site.

Other buzzwords here.
