It’s a problem of artwork made within specific cultural legacies that they become lost languages to people outside those legacies and that’s one of the risks of making an adaptation. There’s an understanding that this thing is for a particular audience, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but might entail the alienation of players and condemn the game, no matter how good it is, to obscurity.
